TrakFinder 1.3 (32-bit)
(c) 1995-96 by Tom Hollander
-----------------------------------------------------
What is TrakFinder?
-------------------
These days a lot of people are getting extremely large
CD collections. So it is getting increasingly difficult
to remember where to find that particular track you're
looking for. TrakFinder uses the Windows 95 CD Player's
index to search through all of your registered CDs to
find that track you want to hear so much.
Installation
------------
Simply copy TrakFind.exe to a directory of your choice,
and put GRID32.OCX in your \Windows\System folder.
Then create a shortcut to TrackFinder in any Start menu
folder.
You'll also need the VB4 runtime libraries. You can get
a zipped copy at ftp://ftp.sausage.com/pub/hd32supp.exe
or if you go to my web page you'll see a link to another
copy if you have downloading problems.
*GET THESE FILES!* You'll need them for lots of other
apps as well, not just mine!
To enter your track names into the database you need
to run the CD Player application that comes with Windows.
Using TrakFinder
----------------
Simply enter in the full or partial track name and
press Search. The search is not case sensitive. The
results (if any) will be displayed in the grid below.
You can view the entire CD by double-clicking on the
entry in the grid.
The [List All CDs] button lists every CD registered in
the Windows CD database. This is useful for finding if
there are any CDs you have not registered, or for getting
a list of all tracks on a particular CD without having
to find it physically.

you look at Change Extension as it can make life under
Windows 95 _much_ easier at times.
If you need any commercial or custom-written software
I would be happy to do it for you at a terrific price.
